Help make Firefly 2025 happen: Volunteer for Core Lead!

Volunteer for Core Lead! Now’s the time. It takes community effort to make Firefly happen.

Would you like to help make Firefly 2025 happen? We have several openings for cluster and core leads!

Tl;dr: just fill out this form if you’re at all interested, and I’ll take care of the rest!

We’re looking for core leads for these cores and probably more:

• Communications – work with our existing Comms team to make sure announcements like this one get out to the community! A good role for someone who’s on top of checking their notifications.
• Late Crew – lead the team that puts our infrastructure away so we can have Firefly again in 2026! Good for experienced Fireflies.
• Stage – manage the Stage schedule and setup!
• Placement – help the Placement team send timely emails!
• Coffee – make sure the Cafe is equipped, set up, and taken down!

And we’re looking for cluster leads for:

• Art Cluster – work with Owen to coordinate the Art Grant, Stage, Bug, Placement, Signage, and Map cores.
• Event Ops – learn the ropes from Stever and Aster as they coordinate the Officer of the Day, Rangers, First Aid, Sound, Radio, Fire, Perimeter, and DMV cores.
• Service Cluster – work with Tab to coordinate the Accessibility, Coffee, Sanctuary, and Gnomes cores.
• Volunteer Coordinator – work with me, Presley, by learning what I do in case I get hit by a bus and, ideally, throwing events for volunteers.

Just fill out this form! If you know what role(s) you’re interested in, there’s a spot to say which. If you don’t know, don’t worry. I’ll do my best to match our volunteers to our volunteer roles and somehow it’ll all work out!
