In the beginning, before any crawling thing crept along the earth, or green thing grew upon it, there was a place where the frosty winds of Niflheim met the billowing flames of Muspelheim. In this gaping abyss, where fire and ice met, many wondrous things were possible, things like propane bubbles and ice cream.
